The smooth integration of any new technology into a business can very often depend on the level of training received by its users. When users are well trained on the features and functions of a new communications solution, the implementation and adoption of the new system is easier and more effective.
South West Communications Group has a team of professional trainers who provide training for all our business telephone and data solutions. The trainers are committed to constantly developing their skills and knowledge by working closely with our business partners to refresh their knowledge and to keep their accreditations up-to-date via ongoing skills-based development courses.
Bespoke training programmes are specifically tailored to meet individual requirements where required. These include more specialised programmes for operators, systems managers and contact centre agents and supervisors.
Following consultation with our client’s project manager, a training schedule and training programme is constructed. The programme is broken down to ensure that all the client’s requirements are addressed. In addition, the programme identifies the client’s priority areas, key individuals, and the training goals expected.

A programme is designed to deliver the maximum training benefits to all users with the focus on comprehensive system familiarisation and system implementation. Training can be delivered either on the customer’s site or at one of our regional training centres, both before and after the system is brought into service. A fully equipped live system is available in South West Communication Group’s demonstration suite. This resource has proven to be very beneficial for our clients as it enables key personnel within the organisation to undertake training sessions and enjoy hands-on training and system use prior to installation.
Our trainers would normally group classes by users of similar handset types and training requirements. The delivered training will then be tailored to meet the specific requirements of these individuals. Classes are normally small enough to allow for considerable interaction and hands-on experience.
As well as offering standard courses for new systems and solutions, we can also deliver refresher courses. We have found that refresher training sessions encourage users to ask more detailed questions regarding the system features and therefore gain maximum productivity and user satisfaction from the system. In addition, it ensures that any new members of staff receive a high level of training to ease introduction to any new technology.
