System administration software provides a user-friendly programming tool that enables businesses to make programming changes themselves, exactly when they need to and provides a rapid return on investment. For more complex changes, South West Communications Group’s engineers can also make programming changes remotely, again reducing ongoing engineering costs.

Additional software can also be provided for call logging purposes to provide both standard and bespoke reports for call traffic analysis and management. Reports can be produced on inbound and outbound call traffic in order that calls can be allocated to extension users and departments for detailed analysis and cost allocation.

Operator and extension response times can be monitored, detailing call answer times, lost calls, etc ensuring that calls are being answered and processed quickly and efficiently and that calls are not being lost at peak times.

Account codes allow you to attribute outgoing call costs to particular customers by simply inputting an account code at anytime throughout the call. Account code information can be sent to the call logging application to enable the onward charging of calls. Account codes could also be used for tracking the success of a sales campaign or other activity generating call traffic.

Call barring is a further efficient way of cutting costs by allocating a class of service to each individual extension to control what type of external calls can be made from a user’s handset and at what times.

Many organisations wish to control unrestricted access to more expensive call destinations, such as to mobiles, international numbers, etc, yet they still need to give staff access to specific expensive destinations for business purposes. To facilitate this, South West Communications Group offer a class of service level whereby international and mobile numbers, for example, are restricted yet users still have access to corporate speed dial lists, which can contain approved international and mobile destinations.In addition, handsets can also be locked using a four-digit code determined by the user so that colleagues may not use their phone while they are away from their desk.
