Email and therefore the Internet is one of the primary communications links between you, your customers and your suppliers. While most organisations can cope without it for a short time, it would become irritating as time went on and would become unbearable as hours turned into days.

We understand the needs and high service levels demanded by today’s business community and have  designed a portfolio of Internet access solutions that take into account the needs for resilience and protection, the range of different Internet technologies available and their application to commercial requirements.

Our business broadband service offers up to 20Mb* of uncontended Internet download speed (*subject to availability and distance from exchange). These uncontended services ensure that the bandwidth is dedicated to you alone, opposed to standard ADSL offerings where contention ratios of up to 50:1 are common place.

Our dedicated Internet leased line connections offer secure private connections directly to the Internet backbone delivering between 2 - 100Mb bandwidth. These leased lines provide full duplex, which means that the full bandwidth is available both for upload and download.

We can also provide fully managed, resilient, dedicated Internet bandwidth access to deliver a fixed bandwidth capacity for a fixed monthly charge with no variable data transfer charge – this means that the bandwidth can constantly be utilised at full capacity without additional charges. We are also able to flex bandwidth on demand to allow you to purchase extra bandwidth on either a month to month basis or as part of a percentile charging scheme.

Protecting your Internet access is also key, so we have partnered with Symantec to provide the MessageLabs E-mail security and content control service including anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering and image control. This service not only protects your network but also frees up bandwidth on your Internet connection by eliminating unwanted virus and spam e-mails before they even touch your connection; one customer recently reported a drop of 83% in traffic after implementing anti-spam measures.
